This move has been quite an ordeal. In speaking with our salesman, John, my boyfriend was told that we could bring over double the 12 large boxes we were quoted at and still qualify for a mini-move of around $1,000. We told John we would like our move delivered on the 2nd-4th. John said this wouldn't be an issue at all and that the movers would call us 24 hours in advance. When we began to realize we were going to be around double the size, we tried to get in touch multiple times and no one ever called us back within business hours. When the movers actually arrived, they told us we had 450-500 sq feet of boxes. We noted this was impossible and actually did the math on the marked sq feet per box (most of our boxes were small) which amounted to 130 cubic feet. We also had a four-seat dining room table with 6 chairs, a bedside nightstand, a couple suitcases and a small tv stand. The movers disassembled the table, as well, making it a flat sheet. We then went out to the actual van to measure it for them and still came out at 250 cubic feet, especially if they actually organized the load and put boxes underneath the table and on top. They wouldn't do this and insisted on marking us as 350 sq feet and charging us another $1,000.00. Flash forward to the 3rd and we still hadn't heard from the movers. We called the Uber line and was connected with a woman named Manisha Manning. He asked when we would be receiving our move the next day and she proceeded to tell us that there is actually a 1-12 day range from the first day you say you're available and we were marked as the first day being available on the 2nd. We explained that John had said we would get it by the 4th, and Manisha Manning proceeded to be the most inappropriately aggressive and outright rude customer service person I have ever had the misfortune of hearing. She told him he should've read the fine print, he should've questioned John because it was "ridiculous" of us to assume they could make that move "so quickly". I have moved across the country 3 times and I can tell you my movers have successfully moved more boxes within a weekend. (sidenote: I did read the fine print and it quotes out 1-10 days, not 1-12). We were very put-off by her tone and attitude and asked to speak with her manager. She told him she didn't have a manager. He then asked if he could please speak to anyone else in the entire office to which she replied she was the only person who worked there. We asked who her boss was and for his/her contact information and she listed the owner of Uber Movers as her boss and the information email address and 1-800 number as his phone number. She then said she couldn't tell us when our move would arrive and didn't know where it was. We asked that she check in on this and call us back. He asked when he could expect to hear from her. She said by 12pm. At 2 pm we still hadn't received a call, so he called her back. She put him on hold and hung up on him. When he tried to call back, she did the same thing. I truly hope Manisha Manning's manager will listen to the recordings. Her behavior was abominable and entirely unprovoked. Finally, the next day, I reached out. That is when I spoke with Jackie and she let me know our boxes hadn't left yet and would try to get them to us as quickly as possible. We were happy to see our boxes arrive a week later on Tuesday of this week. Living in a new state with none of our belongings for two weeks was not a pleasant experience. The movers who moved us back into Texas were friendly however many of the boxes were severely beat up, even quite a few boxes expressly noted "Fragile". Additionally, the movers let us know a large framed picture was broken. In addition to broken frames there were also broken Reidel wine glasses, dishware, etc that was explicitly marked fragile. Finally, flash forward a few days and I speak with a woman named Tanya who says it's nice to meet me too and that she will speak with the owner and call me back. I get a call back from a woman later that afternoon who identifies herself as Manisha Manning and says it was actually she who I spoke with earlier and then denies ever identifying herself as Tanya. This is hysterically sociopathic of her for many reasons: A. The name Manisha and the name Tanya sound nothing alike B. Why would she say it was nice to meet me if we'd already met? C. Why would I issue a report on a woman TO THAT WOMAN? She then hung up on me again. A year later, we have yet to receive our payment despite the claims company reaching out to Uber Movers and telling them to give us our payment.

Terrible experience - they'll say anything to get your business, but once you've given them money, beware. They arrived 9 hours after the time window to pick up (nearly midnight), added extra charges beyond their "fixed" price, kept trying to change delivery dates past when they had agreed they would arrive by and more. Very hard to get in touch with them and they'll just add on charges once they have your stuff and ignore their own commitments.
I've moved nearly a dozen times - by myself, by a company I've hired and with my work paying for the move. By far the worst experience ever and added tons of unnecessary stress to an already tough experience.
Run, run, run away from Uber Movers. Terrible.

I am really in disbelief of how horribly this company operates. The sales reps (Sebastain specifically) tell blatant lies or anything necessary to win business and trick people into getting a service they are certainly not going to receive. They act with no accountability and I will not stop telling my experience to every review site and regulator I can

1. I told the sales rep I would not work with Uber because I wasn't comfortable with the language in the contract that said it could take up to 31 days for something to be delivered in the distance I was going. I simply couldn't go that long without my belongings.
-Sebastian said he COULD guarantee my delivery by the 14th. He was even able to waive the typical fee to have that guarantee and included that guarantee on the quote/work order (charged .01 for this)

It is now 1/28 and I still don't have my belongings. I am being told that since I didn't pay that guaranteed delivery fee, the only course of action is to refund that .01 charged. This is extremely insulting and I can't believe an employee is allowed to put a guarantee on something where the only recourse for not meeting the guarantee is a penny. This is the definition of a scam.

2. He told me that you are not a brokerage and you would have your own trucks/crews moving everything - that turned out to be a lie, They contracted my load and it is currently on some random person's truck in California, delivery TBD.

3. I was up-charged at pick-up $250 even though I was well below the 200 sq ft I was quoted. There was a language barrier with the crew and I couldn't get ahold of any other employee at the offices to discuss these erroneous charges and felt I had no other option but to pay for them or risk my delivery being delayed.

4. I was told there would be no shuttle fee on my delivery. This was a lie. So to avoid a shuttle fee of $350, I will have to rent my own Uhaul, meet this random trucker in a parking lot to load my own things, into my own truck and then to move into my new apartment.

I still don't have my things. I'll be sure to add some notes here once I get to find missing/broken items. But hey, at least I get to move my own belongings into my apt!

This company was perfect for my recent move. I needed someone who can handle my stuff perfectly on time since I have a very stiff time frame for the move of my office and home to another state. All in all, I would rate this company 5 stars for their delicate hands in transporting my things which is mostly paper works, appliances, and furniture. I will surely refer them to everyone I know.

We contacted Uber movers for a long distance move from Texas to Vermont. We have a 5 bedroom home so this is a rather large move. I talked with "Jason" who's signature line says "Quality Assurance Manager". He had me do an "online inventory" form. I did this and then he went over it line by line. He also called my wife and went over the items once again. I expressed concern about his estimate being quite a bit lower than the others and he responded by email and stated "This is a binding not to exceed estimate, I don't know what else to say". I asked what happened if we were over the amount and he then said "Be thankful you went with us. We don't weigh the truck so we won't charge over the amount we quoted". Jason went on to warn me about companies that "broker" loads and that they don't do that. He also said it would take approximately 5 days to get our belongings from Texas to Vermont. I still had an unsettled felling about this move and my wife called a national company. They sent a rep out and gave us an estimate that was $5,900.00 and they estimated the weight at 12,000 lbs. Uber had quoted $3,700.00 and estimated weight at 8,000 lbs. I called Jason and emailed him the estimate. He then emailed back that "I am not worried about it. Those companies overestimate by 20-30% so we are fine". I believed that.

Several days before the move I had a call from a moving company called "Great North American" out of Washington state. They were calling to let us know they would pick up our belongings on the 20th of October. Uber had been scheduled for the 18th. When I asked how they got the load they said that Uber had "brokered" it to them. I read their reviews and their FMCSA and it was unacceptable. I called Jason and he assured me it was a mistake and they do sometimes broker loads but they weren't with mine. They said they were picking it up on the 18th as agreed.

The movers called on the 18th and said they would be here between 10am and noon. That was good for us. Noon came and went and we called and we were told they got held up on another job and would be here by 2pm. That was ok also. 2pm came and went and it came to 4pm and I called again and they said the movers were "in our neighborhood" and would be here by 4:30PM. The actual driver of the truck called and said that the truck had broken down and he would be here by 5:30PM. I asked him if he would b bringing in a tractor trailer and he said that he was driving a 26 foot straight truck. I asked if all would fit and he said that they only quoted the amount for half the truck. I stated that there was no way it would fit. He said he would look at it when he got here.

At around 6pm when he got here he came in and looked at all and said he wasn't sure he would be able to fit it all in his whole truck so the price would be more than double. He was also driving a plain white, unmarked truck. I told him that we couldn't afford it and sent him on his way thankful we didn't allow our furniture on his truck.

In the middle of all of this, we had utilities scheduled to be turned off and we also have ten month old twins (who had all of their things boxed up). Uber movers and Jason, you have no idea the turmoil and pain you caused. Of course, none of the numbers that had called me to set the move up, driver, company or anyone else will call me back or answer emails. They did have me put a credit card deposit and scan and email them a copy of the front and back of the card, a credit card authorization form, and a copy of my license. This was to "prevent fraud". I have now disputed the charge. In hindsight, this was way overboard for a credit card authorization. I have cancelled the card and a new one was overnighted to me. Thank you American Express!!

If anyone wants to sue, we will be glad to go in and share our emails reassuring us that all would be fine. Thankfully, we did find another national chain who will move us. It is sad that companies like this exist. They lie and prey on the unknowing and the knowing. I am not sure how they sleep at night. Hopefully none of them has children. Their children would be ashamed of how their parents treat others. May no one ever treat your mother, sister, or daughter like you treated us Uber movers.

Who could have thought that a simple phone call for inquiry will lead to my most satisfied experience yet? Uber did a really great job handling my case when I moved to Miami. I am particularly amazed by their synergistic efforts to finish the job on time. I have been to other companies but I have never seen anyone of them perform in a way that uber did. Good job uber and may you be blessed with more.

We contacted several moving companies before deciding on Uber's. Richard, the person we dealt with was very knowledgeable and helpful and I have no complaints about him. The actual movers, however, is a different story. They arrived at our house on time, but from there it went downhill. We had an older TV & at one time they had it upside down! Never could figure that one out? We have an antique buffet and as they were carrying it in, one of the doors flew open. I asked them to please be careful with that item as it was an antique and it had a lot of sentimental value. Before they got it in the house, the other door flew open. I told them that they were good, they got both doors! We looked at the dresser to our bedroom suite and it had a BIG dent in it. Little did we know, that was a minor thing compared to the rest of the damage that we incurred. One of the drawers in the hutch that went on top of the dresser was put in backwards, plus being destroyed. The bottom drawer was also destroyed, I mean literally destroyed. One of the night stands drawers had fallen out and it was also broken. Basically, our bedroom suite is destroyed. We have moved at least 7 times over a period of time without anything ever being messed up. If you person is looking for a demolition team to destroy and maim, these are the right movers. I would run as fast as possible if I EVER saw this bunch coming towards any of my possession. I will also admit that I did not read all of the reviews before hiring this company, however I have went back and reviewed them. Perhaps it is just me, but it appears that most of the positive reviews were written either by the same person, or someone who on paper sounds alike. Don't know for sure. If I could have given them a lower rating than 1, that would had been the number that I would have chosen. Please, please be wary of this company! I will never use them again or would I ever give them any type of good reference, unless I really hated the person who asked.

Let me start by saying that uber movers is a genius when it comes to the moving industry! They did so much better than the other company we worked with in the past that just got us through a lot of nightmare. This company is indeed very promising and very diligent. Now, I believe that the good reviews it has been receiving is very well deserved. Keep it up Randy and company! You guys rock!

Like any other consumer, I want quality in all the things I spend my money in. And as far as uber movers is concerned, I definitely think they deserve the money that I shed out for the wonderful service! It was on time and they never showed any signs of slowing down. I am so happy and honored to have worked with uber. They do deserve all the compliments they've been getting from other satisfied customers like me.

I have been a believer of uber movers ever since. I am writing this to encourage more customers to check out the greatness of this company. They are simply the best at what they do and I know it because I have been their customer for so many times already. Why doubt when there are a lot of customers who have already experienced their greatness?

NOTHING BUT LIES! We hired Uber Movers to move us from Philadelphia, PA to Celebration, FL. They arrived on time on 8/29/13. Our quote was WAY off (quote 2500, paid over $3600). We did try to update it over the phone, but they kept telling us to call customer service, which is who we were calling. The driver told us and wrote on our contract that our stuff would be available for delivery within 2-12 days, but they were on their way to GA that night. On 9/7/13 we were told after numerous calls to them, that they would load our stuff on the truck that day and it would be to us in 3 days. On 9/10 our stuff never showed up we called them again. After calling them again they said our stuff would be here on 9/13 or 9/14 and the driver would call us the day before. He never showed up or even called. We were told on 9/14 our stuff was in NC and would be here on 9/16. It didn't show up again. We called for days no one called us back. We filed a complaint with the BBB and finally got a call back. We were told that our complaint was premature since they have 30 days to deliver our stuff. We were then told it would be here on 9/25 and the driver would call us 24hrs ahead of time. It is now 9:27pm on 9/25/13 and we still don't have our stuff after 4 promised delivery dates and to top it off they are charging us an extra 10% on top of everything stating fuel costs. I have two toddlers sleeping on the floor with us. We have nothing except what we could fit in the two cars we drove down here. We are now going to be filing complaints with the state.
